waking up covered in gold glitter
I have decided that yesterday is worth documenting. First things first, I went to the grad. bar with the Dr. last night, then stayed at his place until like 2 am. So first thing this morning I had to be up to take care of my 3 boys. I get to their house at 8:30AM and slather them up with sunscreen and throw their bike helmets on so we can meet up with the neighbor and his kids for a bike ride. Of course the four year old doesn't want to ride his own bike so I ended up doing the ride with him in the kiddy seat on the back of the bike. We went along the river, through the neighborhood (beautiful multi-million dollar homes everywhere) and all over the cemetery. After 2 hours I thought my legs were going to give out, but we made it home with no major incidents. I fed the boys and sent the oldest off to a birthday party. The little ones and I spent the rest of the afternoon playing and eventually their mom came and took them all to the pool. Next I went to my friends secret agent potluck party where there was a four level human pyramid, parade with Noah's Ark, dancing on the street and car, and me hitting someone on the balcony square between the eyes with a donut hole. He thought he saw god or at least something holy, but in fact it was quite the opposite. LOL. So after that I brought one of my friends back to my place to hang out until the event that was happening later. We of course ran into my darling roommate and while we were making plans with him and random neighbor showed up and invited us to a party. So we hung out at a party at the neighbors for a bit. It was super awkward, because we didn't know anyone and all the other guests were way older, but everyone was very nice. Then we came home and threw darts and drank some more before heading over the another friends house to get dressed up for the parade and dance party downtown. Some one loaned me and awesome sequined purple dress!!! I might not give it back. So finally we all headed downtown where we were in the parade. I ran into about a million people I know. It was so weird that every where I looked I saw someone I knew and even better, my "landlord" randomly knows all the same people I know. I would find someone I know and start talking to them and he would come right up and already know them. So somewhere along the parade route someone gave me a bag of glitter which I proceeded to use to cover everyone I know with glitter. Which explains why this morning when I got up to pee I looked in the mirror and was gold and sparkly from head to toe. Anyway after the parade, there were a bunch of stages set up all over downtown and there was constant music all night long. Even at 3 am when we finally left, the party was still going strong. I literally danced so much I am sore. I think we would have stayed longer, but water was impossible to find and after 5 hours of dancing we were getting desperate. So after the long walk home, a gallon of water and a "who has the dirtiest feet" contest I crawled into bed still covered in glitter.

People I Hate Continued
My landlord sucks. He a creepy old fix it man into my apartment while I was asleep. Didn't call, didn't give any warning, nothing, just let the guy in to fix something with out telling me. I only know this because I happened to wake up to the sound of power tools. I was all groggy and half asleep and heard a noise, but thought WTF is that? so I stumble out of my room, still in a daze, only to find myself face to face with a scruffy old man with an electric drill. NOT OK. So I told the landlord that he was breaking the law and he just shrugged it off. UGH... I HATE MY LANDLORD. Thank god I am moving asap.
I forgot one thing...
my latest obsession, leggings, but not just any leggings. So I pretty much hate leggings on most people with most outfits, but when done right I don't mind them. I personally never wore them because A: I didn't own any B: I didn't have any outfits that needed them. So while pulling clothes out of the university dumpster I found a few pairs in great condition and thought I would try them with my new summer dress. Not only were they practically new, but they are super soft and comfy. So of course I am in love with them and want to buy more just like them. The obvious thing to do is to google the brand and find out where I can buy them. Sounds simple, right? Not so. Apparently they come from some super expensive designer and can only be bought at a few select boutiques, none of which are anywhere near where I live and besides that they cost a small fortune. No wonder they are so soft and comfy and wonderful. So now I am debating whether my spoiled legs can handle cheap target ones or if I should spring for some almost as soft/comfy ones at Urban Outfitters, even though I usually avoid that store due to how insanely expensive everything is and how rude the staff is.
update
sick again... ugh. Not sure what is going on, but my stomach can't handle anything lately. Normally I am one of those people who can eat anything (too spicey, no problem. too much dairy, no biggie. too much grease, no phasing this stomach of steel) with no problem, but for the past week everything makes me want to puke.
In other news I am moving. I am very unhappy with the situation leading up to the move, but I think that the new apartment/roommates will be fun for the summer. It is much closer to work, on a cute street with cutesy stores and cafes, and I will be living with some guys who are students at various local universities.
Running has been going well, lots of mileage. I dislocated two of my toes while stumbling around in the dark a few nights ago, but I only missed two days of running because of it. They still hurt a little, but only if I mess with them.
My weekend is almost over, but it was so nice to actually have a weekend after working multiple 60 hour weeks, plus I get an awesome weekend next week too. I will be going to the VISA National Gymnastics competition in Boston!!! I will try and write about it and post pictures afterwards.

long week
I was really really sick all week. I am so sick of being sick. Work was tiring but alright. Today we went to volunteer at an electronics recycling event. It was less painful than it could have been. We got free stuff and free food. Kind of a disappointing that we were the only volunteers there. Afterwards I went to the university to go dumpster diving. We all scored tons of new clothes and other goods. Now I am tired and sunburned and trying to muster up the energy to go out to the dance party. May or may not make it.
